Measures to be taken in an emergency
1. Connect the clamp of the positive jumper cable to the special jumper starting
terminal of the vehicle.
2. Connect the clamp on the other end of the positive cable to the positive (+)
terminal of another vehicle.
3. Connect the negative cable clamp to the negative battery terminal of another
vehicle.
4. As shown, connect the clamp on the other end of the negative cable to a
separate clamp
.
Battery Installation
NOTICE
To reduce the chance of sparks, disconnect the black
(negative) cable first. When reinstalling the battery, install the
black (negative) cable last.
1. Clean battery cables and terminals with a hard wire brush.Corrosion can be
removed with a solution of 1 cup water and 1 tablespoon baking soda.Rinse
well and dry thoroughly.
2. Put the battery in the tray.
3. Connect and tighten the red (positive) cable.
4. Connect and tighten the black (negative) cable.
5. Install the battery press plate.
6. Tighten the battery clamp bolt.
7. Verify that cables are properly wired.
