Server using a certificate that was signed by a CA. The TLS channel is then used
to establish another connection that can be protected by means of additional
EAP authentication methods (e.g. MSCHAPv2).

2. Select the SETTINGSAuthentication menu item.
3. Select PEAP from the Authentication method list.
4. Enter the user name and the password that are used for the configuration of
the Fiscal Server on the RADIUS server.
5. Select the settings to secure communication in the TLS tunnel.
6. Click Save to confirm.
The settings will be saved.
Configuring EAP-FAST
EAP-FAST (Flexible Authentication via Secure Tunneling) is a specific EAP
method developed by the company Cisco.
As with EAP-TTLS (
24) and PEAP (24) a secure tunnel protects data
transmission. However, the server does not authenticate itself with a certificate.
Instead it uses PACs (Protected Access Credentials).
A user account for the Fiscal Server is set up on the RADIUS server.
1. Start the EPS TSE Server Control Center.
2. Select the SETTINGSAuthentication menu item.
3. Select TTLS from the Authentication method list.
4. Enter the user name and the password that are used for the configuration of
the Fiscal Server on the RADIUS server.
5. Select the settings intended to secure the communication in the channel.
6. Click Save to confirm.
The settings will be saved.
