1.4.1. HOW IT WORKS
The Modbus ethernet to serial is the simplest way to communicate with Modbus RTU/ASCII slaves by an
ethernet connection.
There is no need to configure which registers must be requested because the conversion from Ethernet to
serial is executed in real time.
Only the serial configuration must be made (baud rate, parity etc…).
The Master (client) Modbus TCP-IP request a modbus register by ethernet, then the R-KEY-LT convert the
request to the serial Modbus slave, the serial Modbus slave response is also retranslated in Modbus TCP to
the Master.
