Chapter 6: Using Internet
6.1 Connecting to the Internet
The device connects to the Internet through:
• Wi-Fi
• Cellular Data Network
Wi-Fi
Turn Wi-Fi on
1. Tap Home screen > or slide down the status bar, extend the quick settings
panel and tap .
2. Tap Network & internet.
3. Tap
to enable Wi-Fi.
Connect to a Wi-Fi network
1. Tap Home screen > or slide down the status bar, extend the quick settings
panel and tap .
2. Tap Network & internet.
Make sure the Wi-Fi function is enabled.
3. Tap Wi-Fi to view all available wireless access points.
4. Tap on the Wi-Fi network you want to join.
NOTE: You can also tap Add network to manually
add a connection. Refer to “Add Wi-Fi
network” on page 48.
5. When connecting to a secured network, you
will be prompted for the password. Enter the
password, then tap CONNECT.
NOTE: When Wi-Fi is connected, the
connection icon is displayed on the status
bar.
