Preparation
-Using with the Alkaline Battery/Inserting a MiniDisc-
Using with the Alkaline Battery
Use one commercially available alkaline battery (LR6, AA
size).
When using the alkaline battery, be sure to insert the
rechargeable battery also.
Caution:
Do not put a rechargeable battery (nickel-cadmium bat-
tery, etc.) in the battery case.
Inserting a MiniDisc
Notes:
z
Do not place the MiniDisc under the holder.
z
If any resistance is felt, do not force the MiniDisc into
the unit, as it may cause damage to the unit. If resist-
ance is felt, remove the MiniDisc and reload it.
z
The lid cannot be opened if "TOC" is displayed; refer
to the instruction on page 21.

Open the battery case cover.

Insert an alkaline battery into the battery
case.

Attach the battery case to the unit.

Slide the OPEN lever to release the com-
partment door.

Insert a MiniDisc as shown.

Close the compartment door.
