Never
attempt
to
force
open
the
CD
compartment
cover
without
pressing
the
EJECT
button,
or
to
pull
the
open
cover
out
farther
than
it
comes
by
itself.

Do
not
attempt
to
open
the
CD
compartment
whilst
the
disc
is
rotating.
If
the
EJECT
button
is
pressed
without
first
pressing
the
STOP/CLEAR
button,
the
disc
compartment
may.
open
whilst
the
disc
is
rotating,
thus
damaging
the
disc.

POWER
switch
to
ON.

CD
button.

Press
the
EJECT
button
to
open
the
CD
compartment.

Place
the
disc
in
the
disc
holder
of
the
CD
compartment
with
the
label
on
the
disc
facing
you.

For
a

disc,
place
the
disc
correctly
in
the
12
cm
(5”)
disc
holder
(1).
Don’t
place
a
12
cm
(5”)
disc
in
the
8
cm
(3”)
disc
holder
(2).

inserting

disc,
note

cautions.
If
the
disc
is
inserted
incorrectly,
it
could
damage

only

cover

completely

Place
the
disc
correctly
in
the

cm
(5”)
or
the
8
cm
(3”)
disc
holder.

Check
to
be
sure
that
the
disc
is
inserted
correctly,
and
then
close
the
CD
compartment.
Push
the
centre
of
the
CD
com-
partment
to
close
the
compartment
securely.

First
the
total
number
of
tracks
will
appear
in
the
display,
and
then
the
track
number
"01”
will
appear.

Press
the
PLAY
button
to
start
playback
from
track
1.

The
MINUTE/SECOND
indicator
will
blink
during
playback
if
the
disc
is
scratched
or
soiled.
@
If
CD
is
damaged,
dirty,
or
loaded
upside
down,
display
will
show
error
signs
as
follows.
+
“Cd”
does
not
stop
flashing.
*
Total
track
number
or
“01”
is
not
displayed.
+
“Er”
is
displayed:
Clean,
replace,
or
load
CD
properly.
@
Subjecting
unit
to
shock
or
vibration
can
cause
mistracking.
@
Keep
CD
compartment
closed
except
when
loading
CDs.
