Assembling
the
turntable

Place
the
turntable
platter.

Pull
the
belt
on
the
under
side
of
the
turntable
platter
by
holding
the
belt
with
your
finger.
Loop
the
belt
over
motor
pulley.
Take
care
that
the
belt
is
not
twisted.

If
oil
gets
on
the
belt,
the
platter
or
the
motor
pulley
(where
belt
touches),
wipe
oil
off
with
cloth
soaked
in
alcohol
(methylated
spirit).
Don’t
use
benzine
or
thinners,
and
don’t
twist
belt.

To
avoid
malfunctions,
don’t
turn
platter
by
hand
once
the
belt
is
in
place.

Place
the
mat
on
top
of
the
platter.

Remove
the
tie
securing
the
tonearm.
Note:

Keep
the
packing
case
and
pads
carefully
for
future
transportation

Batteries
provide
backup
power
to
protect
the
microprocessor’s
preset
memory
if
the
power
goes
off.
Open
the
battery
compartment
cover.
Insert
2
UM/SUM-3
or
R6
batteries
into
the
battery
compart-
ment.

Placing
the
batteries
the
wrong
way
round
can
cause
malfunc-
tions.
Reattach
the
battery
compartment
cover,
line
up
the
three
tabs
with
the
three
slots,
as
shown.
Caution
Replace
the
batteries
with
new
ones
once
a
year
to
prevent
uu
potential
damage
from
leakage
of
batteries.
