Using the VR-33CH Car Battery
Adapter/Battery Charger or the
VR-41 OCA Car Battery Adapter
(Optional Accessories)
Use the optional VR33CH car battery adapter/battery
charger (or the VR-41 OCA car battery adapter) when
you want to power the VIEWCAM from the cigarette
lighter socket of your car.
Perform steps 1 through 3 under “Powering the
VIEWCAM from an AC Outlet” (page 12).
Plug the DC cable into the DC OUT jack on the
VR-33CH (or VR-41 OCA).
Next, start the car engine and leave it idling. Then
insert the plug into the cigarette lighter socket. (The
POWER indicator on the VR-33CH will light.)

l The VR-33CH can be used to recharge the battery
packs. Refer the operation manual for further
details. While the VR-41 OCA cannot be used as a

battery pack charger.

l Use in only DC 12 V or 24 V negative ground
system cars. Positive-ground car batteries
CANNOT BE USED. Check your car operation
manual or consult a local car dealer.
l Use the VR-33CH (or VR-410CA) only when the
car is idling or being driven. Otherwise, the car’s
battery will be drained.
l Charge only SHARP model BT-H21 or BT-N1
battery packs. Other types of batteries may burst,
causing personal injury and damage.
l Before starting the car engine, the VR-33CH (or
VR-410CA) must be unplugged from the cigarette
lighter socket.
l Before removing either the DC plug or the cigarette
lighter plug, the VIEWCAM’s Power switch should
be set to OFF.
