When transferring data from EL series to ZQ series Organizers
l Non-English characters (e.g. A) are changed to small letters,
l Characters not supported by the receiving unit are replaced by
other characters (e.g. “=“).

2. Select the RECEIVE mode on the receiving unit (EL series).

Select the same modes for both units (in this instance, TELI).
Data cannot be transferred between units operating in different
modes.
3. Display the “UNIT TO UNIT” menu on the sending unit.

4. Select “1 SEND” on the sending unit.
(Data transfer between the two units will begin.)
Note:
When the receiving unit does not have sufficient memory capacity to
hold the data being transferred, an error will occur. If this occurs,
delete any unnecessary items in the memory of the receiving unit,
and then retransfer the data.
Notes on Transferring Data
When transferring data from ZQ series to EL series Organizers
l All letters are changed to capital letters.
l Characters not supported by the receiving unit are replaced by
spaces.
l Data exceeding the limits of data that can be stored in the
receiving unit will be ignored (e.g. up to 12 characters per
name in the telephone mode).
l Schedule alarm times are automatically set to the schedule
starting times.
17. When trouble occurs
An impact or a strong external electrical field may clear the display
and leave none of the keys operational. Press the RESET switch on
the back of the Organizer.
The impact or external electrical field may erase some or all of the
Organizer’s memory. Press the RESET switch with the tip of a ball-
point pen or similar object, but not anything breakable (like a pencil
point or a needle).
Ail RESET operation
If a problem occurs after replacing the batteries, or if the Organizer
does not function properly even after the above RESET operation,
perform the following:
1. While holding m , press the RESET switch on the back.
Release the RESET switch and then release (ON( .
The following display will appear.
2. Press q .
The standard clock is reset, and the standard city is set to New York.
The time and date will be 12:OO midnight January 1, 1990.
Caution: Do not press q in step 2. Pressing q will delete all
data.
