Remission factor: 6% = black 1, 18% = gray 2, 90% = white 3 (referring to standard
white as per DIN5033). We recommend making the adjustments using an object with a
low remission factor.

6.3 Configuration
Sensor with potentiometer:
The sensitivity (sensing range) is adjusted using the potentiometer (type: 5-speed).
Clockwise rotation: sensitivity (sensing range) increased; counterclockwise rotation:
sensitivity (sensing range) reduced.
We recommend placing the object within the sensing range, e.g. see figure 6.

Once the sensitivity is set, remove the object from the beam path. The switching output
changes (see figure 2). The sensor is adjusted and ready for operation.
Refer to Graphic figure 2 to check the function.
If the switching output fails to behave in accordance with Graphic figure 2, check the
application conditions, see "Troubleshooting", page 23.
