Additional miscellaneous items, such as mounting hardware will be packaged
in separate cardboard cartons.
3.3.1 Multi-phase unpacking process
Accessing the recloser is achieved by removing both the top and front panels,
as shown in figure 3. To do this, you will require a Nefab tool to unbend the securing
tabs along the edges of each panel.
Once accessed, the transport shoring braces can be detached by removing the
screws (5/16 socket) to the side panels. The Recloser is now nestled unsecured on
the cradle beam on the base of the pallet. Caution is to be exercised by not placing
any part of the body underneath the Recloser. Correctly rated lifting equipment such
as D-shackles and slings are now connected to the lifting mounts on top of the
mounting bracket (see 5.2.1 and 5.3.2 for lifting instructions). The recloser can now
be safely removed from the crate.
3.3 Multi-phase packaging
Multi-phase Compact Reclosers are packaged as individual units in a timber box with
all accessories included. The box is labelled with the unit details and configuration
settings (if factory configured).
