Protection concept for surge voltage and lightning
The aim of the protection concept is to gradually reduce surge voltage to a safe
level. This is achieved as follows:
Nested protective zones are formed around a protected room. These are
named in the protection concept.
The protection concept includes all connections such as lines, cables, filters,
etc., within a protective zone limit.
All connections are analyzed and protection categories defined.
The installation, earthing, equipotential bonding, and shielding are defined.
The necessary measures and the components needed for this are stated.
Appropriate measures are taken to equip the connections between the
protective zones.
