SMS mailboxes
The general mailbox is activated in the
factory settings. This mailbox is accessible
for everyone and cannot be protected by a
PIN. You can set up three additional per-
sonal mailboxes and protect them with a
PIN. Every mailbox is identified by a name
and a "mailbox ID" (a kind of extension
number).
Please note:
u If you operate a number of devices
(bases) with SMS functionality on a sin-
gle phone line, then each SMS mailbox
ID may only be used once. In this case
you also have to change the ID default
of the general mailbox ("0").
u You can only use personal mailboxes if
the service provider supports this. The
number of a (defaulted) SMS centre is
suffixed by an asterisk (*) to tell you
that the provider supports this feature.
u If you have forgotten your mailbox PIN,
you can reset it by resetting the base
station to the factory settings
(page 59). This will delete all mes-
sages from all mailboxes.
Note:
Do not enter your fixed network number for
notification of missed calls. This can lead to a
chargeable endless loop.
