Handset settings
Your handset is preconfigured, but you
can change the settings to suit your indi-
vidual requirements.
Fast access to functions
and numbers
You can assign a number or function to
the left display key and all the digit keys
Q and 2 to O.
You can then select the number or start
the function by pressing the key.
Setting the digit key/left display key
Precondition: You have not yet assigned a
number or function to the digit key or left
display key.
¤ Briefly press the display key } or
press and hold the digit key.
The list of possible key assignments
opens. The following are available for
selection:
Quick Dial / Call-by-Call
Set the key with a number from the
directory or call-by-call list.
The directory or call-by-call list opens.
¤ Select an entry and press §OK§.
Deleting or changing the entry in the
directory or in the call-by-call list does
not affect the setting of the digit or dis-
play key.
SMS Notific.
Assign the key with the function for the
menu for switching on notification by
text message (page 33):

Suppress Calling Line Identification for

If the left display key is set, the selected
function or name of the selected entry in
the directory or call-by-call list is displayed
(possibly abbreviated) in the bottom dis-
play line above the display keys.
Start function, select number
With the handset in idle status press and
hold the digit key or the press the left dis-
play key.
Depending on the key assignment:
u Numbers are dialled directly from the
directory or the call-by-call list.
u The function menu opens.
Changing the assignment of a key
Press the display key
¤ Press and hold the left display key.
The list of possible key assignments
opens.
¤ Proceed as described for initial setting
of the key (page 50).
