Renaming/deleting the sound
You have selected an entry. These options
are not available if a sound cannot be
deleted (è).
v Open menu.
You can select the following functions in
relation to the situation:
Rename
Select and press
§OK§. Change name
(maximum 16 characters, do not use
spaces, special characters and umlauts)
and press
§OK§. The entry is saved with
the new name.
Delete Entry
The selected entry is deleted.
A deleted ringtone melody is replaced
automatically. A deleted ringtone mel-
ody for VIP calls or anniversaries is not
replaced automatically.
Activating/deactivating
advisory tones
Your handset uses ‘advisory tones’ to tell
you about different activities and statuses.
The following advisory tones can be acti-
vated and deactivated independently of
each other:
u Key beep: Each key press is acknowl-
edged.
u Acknowledge tones:
Confirmation tone (ascending tone
order): at the end of the input/set-
ting and when receiving a text mes-
sage or a new entry in the answer-
ing machine list of calls list
Error tone (descending tone order):
for input errors
Menu end tone: when scrolling to
the end of a menu
u Battery low beep: the battery needs to
be charged.

¤ Changing a several line input:
Key Tones:
Select On or Off.
Confirm.:
Select On or Off.
Battery:
Select On, Off or In Call. The battery
warning tone is activated or deacti-
vated or only sounds in the calling-
status.
¤ Save changes (page 12).
You cannot deactivate the acknowledge
tone when you place the handset in the
base station.

Set alarm clock
Precondition: The date and time are set
(page 9).
Activating/deactivating and setting the
alarm clock
v ¢ ì ¢ Alarm Clock
¤ Changing a multiple line input:
Alarm Clock:
Select On or Off.
Time:
Enter wake-up time with 4 digits.
¤ Save changes (page 12).
You will see the ¼ icon.
A wake-up call is signalled with the
selected ringtone melody (page 52) on
the handset. The wake-up call rings for
60 sec. The display shows Alarm Clock.
A wake-up call is only signalled by a short
tone during a call.
Deactivating the wake-up call
Precondition: A wake-up call is sounded.
§Silence§ Press the display key or any
key.
