Recording your own announcement/
announce only

Announce / Rec Anc Only
§OK§ Press the display key to start
recording.
You hear the ready tone (a short tone).
¤ Now record the announcement
(at least 3 seconds).
§End§ Press the display key to end
the announcement.
Stop recording with a or ”. Restart
recording with
§OK§.
The announcement is played for checking
after recording. You can restart recording
with
§New§.
Please note:
u Recording ends automatically if the
maximum recording time of 170 sec-
onds is exceeded or there is a break in
speech for more than 2 seconds.
u The standard announcement is used
again if you interrupt a recording.
u Recording is interrupted when the
answering machine memory is full.
¤ Delete old messages and repeat the
recording.

Recording a new announcement while lis-
tening to the announcement:

firm the prompt.
a Press and hold (idle status).
The appropriate standard announcement
is used again after deleting.
Select announcement mode
You can choose between Ans. & Record and
Announce Only.

Mode
¢ Ans. & Record / Announce Only
(‰ =on)
a Press and hold (idle status).
The selected mode remains stored even
after deactivating the answering machine.
If the message memory is full in mode Ans.
& Record the answering machine automat-
ically switches to Announce Only mode.
¤ Delete old messages.
The answering machine automatically
returns to the set announce mode when
the old messages have been deleted.
Setting alternate recording/announce only
You can switch over the announcement
mode for a set time with the setting Ans
Mode Time.
Example: The Ans. & Record mode is set.
When you activate Ans Mode Time and set a
time period (e.g 18.00 to 8.00 h) the
answering machine switches to mode
Announce Only in this period. Ans. & Record
mode is switched on outside this period
(8.01 to 17.59 h).

¤ Changing a several line input:
From:
Enter hours/minutes for beginning of
time period in 4 digits.
Until:
Enter hours/minutes for end of time
period in 4 digits.
Activation:
Select On or Off.
¤ Save changes with §Save§.
As soon as you change the announcement
mode (page 38), the Ans Mode Time func-
tion is deactivated automatically.
