Delete entries:
¤Touch [ ü Delete].¤Touch all the entries to be deleted in sequence and then
[
ü Delete].
SMS (text messages)
Your device is supplied ready for you to send text messages immediately. Prerequisites:
u Your network provider supports SMS within the fixed line network.
u Calling Line Identification is enabled.
u To receive SMS messages, you must be registered with your network provider.
This usually occurs automatically when you send your first text message.
Writing and sending text messages
Your system can send a linked SMS (made up of up to four individual SMS messages) as one
message.
Write SMS:
¤Menu key v. ¤ [ Write Text Message]. ¤ Touch the To field. ¤Enter the
recipient's number with area code.
¤Confirm with è. ¤Touch the Message field. ¤Enter the
SMS text.
¤ Confirm with è.
Send SMS:
¤Touch [ Send].
Receiving text messages, incoming message list
Received text messages are saved in the incoming message list. If text messages are saved in
this list the symbol
· is displayed on the messages page in the standby display.
¤ Open the messages page. ¤Touch the · symbol. ¤Touch ’ next to the text message
entry. You have the following options:
-[
® Reply]: Write and send an SMS to the sender.
-[ N Edit]: Edit the SMS text and return it to the sender.
- [
ü Delete]: Delete the SMS.
- Press c: Call sender of the SMS.
- Touch sender/number in the message text: Call number or save to directory. The num-
ber must not contain spaces or special characters.
Please note
If you edit/delete the number in the directory, the QuickDial shortcut number will also be
edited/deleted on the configurable page or from the QuickDial shortcuts.
Please note
u If the SMS text cannot be displayed in full, you can scroll up and down within the text.
u Position the cursor within the text: touching the left half of a word will position the cursor
and the new text in front of this word. Touching the right half of the word will position
the cursor and hence the new text after this word.
