About the Manual
This administration manual will help you to install and administer the
optiPoint
410/420. The manual contains important information for safe and
proper operation of the optiPoint
410/420. Follow the instructions carefully
to avoid improper operation and get the most out of your multi-function
telephone in a network environment.
This manual describes administration for operation on optiPoint 410/420. In
addition, you can administer the optiPoint
410/420 with the help of a web
interface
Page 51 or with the DLS (see administration manual for DLS).
There is a separate manual for operators. A quick reference guide contains
a fast and reliable explanation of frequently used functions.
Product Identification
You will find the necessary details for identifying your telephone on the
nameplate. The nameplate can be found on the underside of the base unit
and contains the precise product designation as well as the serial number.
For more information on the software version, please refer to "General
Information" in the Web-Based Management Tool section ( Page 54).
Please have this information to hand whenever you call our service
department because of trouble with or defects on the unit itself.
Echo Effect
In some cases while using the telephone, you may hear an echo, which
can be quite strong. This is not due to any design defect or other fault with
your telephone, but caused by the other client.
For example, if the echo occurs during a teleconference, it may be that the
external loudspeakers and microphones need to be repositioned.
