Implemented functions

The following functions are implemented in the application example:

1. Parameter assignment of the serial interface of the SIMATIC ET 200SP

communication module CM PtP for Freeport.

Note

In this example, the parameterization is done via commands.

2. Receipt of the scan code from the MV320 handheld reader via the ET 200SP

communication module CM PtP and storage in a data block.

Advantages of this solution

• Provision of general information about the Freeport Protocol

(see chapter 6.1)

• Demonstration of the serial interface handling of an ET 200SP, as a distributed

I/O system of a SIMATIC S7-300 station.

• Reusable STEP 7 code. This can be easily adapted for extensions.
