Procedure
1. Verify absence of operating voltage to the converter.
WARNING
Danger to life due to unintentional starting of the drive unit
Unintentional starting of the drive unit can cause death or severe injury.
• Make sure that the drive unit cannot be started accidentally.
• Post a warning notice to this eect at the point where the switch is located.
2. Replace the motor.
CAUTION
Burns as a result of touching hot surfaces
In operation, the motor enclosure can reach high temperatures, which can cause burns if
touched.
• Do not touch any hot surfaces.
• Allow the motor to cool down before starting any work.
• Use the appropriate personnel protective equipment, e.g. gloves.
– Disconnect all plugs from the motor. Detailed information is provided in Chapter
"Handling the quick-action locking (Page82)".
– Release the motor mounting screws.
– Remove the motor.
– Mount and install the new motor. Detailed information is provided in Chapter "Mounting
instructions (Page70)".
– Reconnect all plugs to the motor. Detailed information is provided in Chapter "Handling
the quick-action locking (Page82)
3. Switch the converter on.
