6. How to set a Parameter value

6.1 Press the M key to access parameters.
With the motor stopped and from the status menu (see
illustration on the left), press the M key to access the
parameter menu.
Note: To access the status menu from another menu
press and hold the M key for 2 seconds.
6.2 Select the required parameter.
Use the up and down arrows to locate the parameter you
wish to change - in this case, P0305 motor rated current.
Press the OK key to select it.
Press the OK key again to select index in000 if prompted.
Note: If you are unable to locate the required parameter it
may be hidden. Change P0003 to 2 to enable extended
parameter access.
6.4 Change the parameter value.
Use the up and down arrow keys to change the value as
required. Press the OK to save the changes.
Press and hold the M key for 2 seconds to return to the
status menu.
Note: Depending on the value, pressing and holding
either the up or down key will change the value in larger
Siemens V20 Series Inverter
6.3 Select the Index (if prompted).
Some parameters contain multiple values which are
“indexed” as part of a set. This allows the V20 to be
configured for use in more than one application as a set
can be selected.
If only one application is required, simply press the OK
key to accept the default index of in000 as shown in the
illustration opposite.
