Mr3
Trimming of line resistance with Pt100 in two-wire circuit
Method 1: line resistance is known
Select Mr3 parameter and enter known line resistance: Cr3 parameter is ignored.
Cr3 Method 2: line resistance
unknown
• Short-circuit Pt100 at point of measurement;
• Select Cr3 parameter
• Press button (9), until 0.00 is displayed;
Line resistance is then trimmed automatically; Mr1 shows line resistance measured.
MP3 MP3 defines the position of the decimal point for the measuring range.
MA3/
ME3
Definition of measuring range
with themocouples or directly connected Pt100s (S10=1/2/3/4/5)
• The values are entered directly in ºC/ºF/K (S7=0/1/2).
• If the selected temperature measuring range is to be displayed on the front panel, the
Offline parameters dA and dE must be equal to the CAE3 parameters MA3 and ME3.
in the case of: mV, U or input signals (S10=0)
• The values are entered in mV (-175 mV to +175 mV);
• The U or I input signals are converted to a measuring range of 0/20 to 100 mV in the
measuring range plug (6DR2 805-8J)
Example: 0 to 10 V or 0 bis 20 mA: MA3=0, ME3=100;
2 to 10 V or 4 bis 20 mA: MA3=20, ME3=100.
CA3/
CE3
Trimming of measuring range
The measuring range, and consequently the measured value itself, can be corrected to
compensate for sensor tolerances to calibrate the instrument for use with other indica-
tors.
CA3 - for trimming at the lower end of the measuring range
CE3 - for trimming at the upper end of the measuring range
PC3 The PC3 resets the trimming performed using CA3/CE3.
