Risk of burns due to hot steam
If steam is used for purging, it is absolutely necessary to switch o󹪜 the unit beforehand, because
overheated steam is not visible.
• Switch o󹪜 purging before performing any maintenance work on the sensor.
WARNING
Damage due to overpressure during process-side purge
In this case, a needle valve is included in the product package of the analyzer. This must be
attached to the process interface.
Note that this needle valve extends into the process. The process must be constantly monitored
when under pressure.
• Install a test valve on the process interface to prevent the medium from escaping from the
process.
• Ensure that process gas does not enter the purge gas system under any circumstances. This
applies in particular to cascaded process and sensor purging, in which corrosive process
gases can otherwise penetrate.
