Unsuitable cables, cable glands and/or plugs

Unsuitable cables, cable glands and/or plugs
Risk of e
xplosion in hazardous areas.
• Use only cable glands/plugs that comply with the requirements for the relevant type of
protection.
• Tighten the cable glands in accordance with the torques specied in Technical data
(Page 79).
• Close unused cable inlets for the electrical connections.
• When replacing cable glands, only use cable glands of the same type.
• After installation, check that the cables are seated rmly.
NOTICE
Use of line and cable entries made of plastic in hazardous areas
De
vice damage caused by impact at temperatures below -20 °C.
• Make sure that the line and cable entries are protected from impacts.
