Pairing the hands-free set with a compati-
ble mobile phone
Before you can connect a mobile phone to a car radio, you
must pair a compatible mobile phone with the hands-free set.
♦ Connect the hands-free set to the 12/24V socket of
your car. This is usually the cigarette lighter (vehicle
socket) on the dashboard of your vehicle.
♦ The message “
” appears briefly on the display 1
followed by the input voltage, e.g. “ ”. The power
supply to the hands-free set is established. Depending
on the vehicle type, it is possible that the ignition has to
be switched on first.
♦ As soon as “ ” flashes on the display 1, the hands-
free set is automatically in pairing mode. You will hear
the message “Bluetooth
®
mode; wait for connection”.
♦ Set the mobile phone so that it scans for Bluetooth
®
devices. A detailed description of how to do this is to
be found in the operating instructions for your mobile
telephone.
♦ Select the entry SBF 5.0 A1 from the list of found de-
vices on your mobile phone and, if required, enter the
code 0000 to connect the two devices. If the pairing
is successful, the input voltage will be shown on the
display 1, e.g. “
”. You will also hear the message
“Connected”.
