18. Malfunctions, Cause, Remedy
Malfunction Cause Remedy
Device does not start.
Blender jug5 is not positioned correctly.
Insert blender jug5 correctly (see “Insert
blender jug” on page 12).
Lid23 or deep steamer attachment3
have not been placed correctly onto the
blender jug5.
Place lid23 or deep steamer attach-
ment3 correctly.
No power supply.
Check mains plug15, on/off switch7
and possibly the fuse.
Liquid underneath the device
The blade assembly18 has not been in-
serted correctly so that the blender jug5 is
leaking.
Insert blade assembly18 correctly (see
“Using and removing the blade assembly”
on page 12).
Seal17 for blade assembly is defective.
Insert(see “Cleaning, checking and re-
placing seals” on page 31) new seal17.
Liquid escaped from the blender jug5
flowing onto the work surface through the
overflow hole12 of the base unit13 (see
“Overflow hole” on page 18).
When mixing liquids at speed 10 or with
button Turbo36, the blender jug5 must
not contain more than 2.5 litre, since oth-
erwise liquid might be ejected. For speed
settings of less than 10, the blender jug5
may only be filled up to a maximum of
3 litres.
Liquid escapes at the lid23
of the blender jug5.
Seal22 has not been inserted correctly.
Insert seal22 correctly (seeCleaning,
checking and replacing seals” on
page 31).
Seal22 is defective.
Insert (see “Cleaning, checking and re-
placing seals” on page 31) new seal22.
No temperature can be set. A speed setting 4 - 10 was selected.
Select speed setting 0 - 3 (see “Setting the
speed” on page 17).
Parts of the device are dis-
coloured.
Certain foods or spices (e.g. curry) may
discolour the plastic. This is not a device
error.
Remedy unnecessary, since not harmful to
health.
A speed setting exceeding 3
cannot be selected.
A temperature has been set. Set temperature to 0.
Error messages or notes in
the screen.
Warning against incorrect operation. Follow the instructions on the screen.
