Why won't my Simer Water Pump start or run?
    • Q
      qclarkJul 28, 2025
Your Simer Water Pump might not start due to several reasons. It could be a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker, in which case you should replace the fuse with one of the correct size or reset the circuit breaker. Another cause might be low line voltage. Check the wiring size from the main switch. If it's still under the recommended minimum, contact your power company. Lastly, the motor itself could be defective, requiring you to replace the pump.

What to do if Simer Water Pump operates but delivers little or no water?

If your Simer Water Pump is running but not delivering water, consider these possibilities: low line voltage (check wiring from the main switch and contact the power company if needed), something caught in the impeller, worn or defective parts, or a check valve installed without a vent hole. In the case of impeller issues, worn parts, you will need to replace the pump. If the check valve lacks a vent hole, drill a 1/16" - 1/8" (1.6mm - 3.2mm) dia. hole between the pump discharge and the check valve.
