4. Feed the control rod through the spring and
hook the eyelet end of spring over the set¬
screw (item D) in the w ire cla mp. Be sure
the control rod is to the IKM of the bell¬
crank (item E).
5. With the control lever (item B, figure 24)
completely down, position the forward idler
pulley 1/4 inch (6 mm) from the left-hand
frame and tighten the setscrew (item D, figure

REVERSE C ONTROL ROD ASSEMBLY
FOR THE MODEL 1005 ONLY, PROCEED AS
FOLLOWS:
Insert the remaining control rod (item D, fig¬
ure 24) through the reverse control lever.
When installed the reverse control rod should
cross under the forward control rod.

3. With the control lever completely down and
the reverse idler pulley (item E) resting against
the frame, tighten the setscrew to hold the
control rod in place.
