Seat:
The
seat
may
be
adjusted
from
front
to
rear
as
desired
by
repositioning
the
seat
in
any
of
the
three
sets
of
holes
in
the
seat
support.
Simply
remove
the
nuts
and
lock
washers
from
the
lower
seat
pan
mounting
bolts
and
reposition
the
seat.
Retighten
the
nuts
securely.
Parking
Brake:
See
illustration
below.
To
adjust
the
parking
brake,
loosen
the
nut
located
behind
the
seat
deck.
Rotate
the
parking
brake
handle
clockwise
to
tighten
and
counterclockwise
to
loosen
the
brake.
The
brake
should
be
tight
enough
so
it
will
hold
in
reverse,
yet
be
easily
placed
in
the
"locked"
position.
Before
retightening
the
locking
nut,
be
sure
the
brake
handle
is
positioned
in
the
11
o'clock
position
when
engaged.
Power
Take-Off
Rod
Guide
Adjustment:
Should
an
attachment
fail
to
drive
properly,
the
power
take-off
clutch
may
need
adjusting.
The
power
take-off
clutch
is
normally
in
proper
adjustment
when
there
is
7/8
inch
distance
between
the
set
collar
and
the
end
of
the
bracket
when
engaged
for
use
with
snow
thrower
and
5/8
inch
for
use
with
the
rotary
mower.
If
more
tension
is
need¬
ed
or
readjustment
is
necessary,
disengage
the
power
take¬
off
lever,
loosen
the
collar
set
screw
and
slide
the
collar
back
on
the
rod
slightly.
Engage
the
lever
and
check
the
belt
tension.
Only
enough
tension
to
drive
the
implement
being
used
is
necessary.
Excess
tension
may
cause
premature
failure
of
belts
and
pulley
bearings.
