cover and page one of this manual. Before we learn how to
operate the tractor, let's take a look at some of its exciting
features.
EASY STEERING — 3.3 to 1 ratio gear and sector steering
of true geometric design. The front wheels follow different
arcs when turning, giving improved steering and minimizing
wheel marks on soft lawns. The short turning radius (22
inches inside rear wheel) gives excellent maneuverability¬
turning time.
EASY TO REACH HAND OPERATED CONTROLS. Gear¬
shift, choke-o-matic, ignition switch, and ammeter are con¬
veniently located at the instrument panel. The power take¬
off clutch lever and implement lift lever are lo'cated for
natural, easy operation. Easy to reach parking brake is
simple to use and dependable.
SMOOTH OPERATING COMBINED CLUTCH AND
BRAKE PEDAL. Start and stop with easy rocker action
and no wheel skid. Improved clutch converts any transmis¬
sion speed from zero to maximum without shifting for
inching or turning.
QUICK SWITCHING ATTACHMENTS. Custom engineering
implements are designed to be simple to attach and remove
as well as operate. The broadest variety of front, center and
rear mounted implements offered.
DEPENDABLE BRIGGS & STRATTON EIGHT HORSE¬
POWER ENGINE with twelve volt electric starter system,
including a 32 amp. hr. automotive type battery. Vertical
driveshaft provides maximum power to attachments, simple
protected drive system, and low center of gravity.
RUGGED CHANNEL FRAME CONSTRUCTION FOR
DURABILITY AND LONG LIFE; electrically welded,
heavy gauge steel. Short wheelbase, large low pressure tires.
New bead lock rims keep tires sealed at low pressures for a
very soft ride.
DEPENDABLE, ALL GEAR TRANSMISSION. Fully en¬
closed, sealed and lubricated. Limited slip differential re¬
duces wheel slippage on slippery or sloping surfaces, yet
allows each wheel to rotate at required speed while turning.
