Do
not.operate
equipment
when
barefoot
or
wearing
open
side
front
cover,
follow
these
safety
tips
when
using
your
sandals.
Always
wear
substantial
footwear,
tractor
and
its
attachments.
Do
not
stop
or
start
suddenly
when
going
uphill
or
down¬
hill.
Reduce
speed
on
slopes
and
in
sharp
turns
to
prevent
tipping
or
loss
of
control.

If
your
equipment
should
start
to
vibrate
abnormally,
stop
the
engine
and
check
immediately
for
the
cause.
Vibra¬
tion
is
usually
a
warning
of
trouble.
Stay
alert
for
holes
in
terrain
and
other
hidden
hazards.
Look
to
be
sure
children
are
not
behind
you
before
back¬
ing
up.
Use
care
when
pulling
loads
or
using
heavy
equipment:
Use
only
approved
drawbar
hitch
points.
Limit
loads
to
those
you
can
safely
control.
Don't
turn
too
sharp
and
use
care
when
backing.
Use
counterweights
or
wheel
weights
when
suggested
in
the
owners'
manual.
When
using
any
attachments,
never
direct
discharge
of
material
toward
bystanders
or
allow
anyone
near
the
trac¬
tor
while
in
operation.
Always
stop
the
engine
when
removing
or
installing
attach¬
ments
or
unclogging
snow
or
grass
chutes.
Perform
main¬
tenance
on
unit
only
when
engine
is
stopped.
Never
allow
children
or
young
teenagers
to
operate
the
tractor
or
adults
to
operate
it
without
proper
instruction.
Do
not
carry
passengers.
Always
keep
children
and
pets
a
safe
distance
away.
Mow
only
in
daylight
or
in
good
artificial
light.

all
clutches
and
shift
into
neutral
before
start¬
ing
the
engine.
Take
precautions
such
as
disengaging
the
power
take-off,
lowering
attachments,
shifting
into
neutral,
setting
park¬
ing
brake,
stopping
engine
and
removing
key
when
leaving
vehicle
unattended.
Check
all
nuts,
bolts
and
screws,
especially
the
blade
and
engine
mounting
bolts,
for
proper
tightness
at
frequent
in¬
tervals
to
be
sure
the
equipment
is
in
safe
working
condition.
Never
store
equipment
with
gasoline
in
the
tank
inside
of
a
building
where
fumes
may
reach
an
open
flame
or
spark.
Allow
engine
to
cool
before
storing
in
any
enclosure.
To
reduce
fire
hazard
keep
engine
free
of
grass,
leaves
or
excessive
grease.
Watch
out
for
traffic
when
crossing
or
near
roadways.
Disengage
power
to
attachments
when
transporting
or
not
in
use.
Keep
hands
and
feet
away
from
rotating
parts.
Stay
clear
of
discharge
opening
at
ail
times.
Always
remove
the
ignition
key
when
inspecting,
clean¬
ing,
repairing
or
adjusting
the
tractor
or
attachments.
Be
especially
careful
when
operating
on
wet
or
slippery
surfaces.
