Note: If no SFI is entered (remaining with the default 9999 value), the device will not be
visible on the LWE network, and it will not share any data.
AIS
Used to identify the AIS device on the LWE network. The system can be configured to receive
the communication from AIS via LWE instead of serial line.
The AIS source SFI must be assigned with:
A 4 digit Lightweight Ethernet of the SFI (System Function ID).
A 2 character (talker identifier) of the SFI (System Function ID).
BAM
Used to identify the BAM device on the LWE network. The system can be configured to
establish the communication with BAM via LWE instead of serial line.
Select the proper transmission group as per BAM or CAM network configuration. The radar
talker identifier prefix of the SFI is RA.
Serial to Network Gateway Function (SNGF)
The serial input ports can be configured and bridged to LWE network.
Each device must be configured with:
A 4 digit Lightweight Ethernet of the SFI (System Function ID).
The transmission group is MISC and the radar talker identifier prefix of the SFI is always SI.

Note: If no SFI is entered (remaining with the default 9999 value), the device will not be
visible on the LWE network, and it will not share any data. The SNGF mirrors any type of
messages received without filtering or checking for corrupt messages.
