3.4. Function test
Warning! During the test, the GD1 4 – 20 mA output going to control system will
be indicating gas when performing the procedure below.
Note! To conform with the SIL 2 Safety Integrity Level certification, a yearly
functional test is required..

Step description

Clean the lenses on the TX and RX as described in
section 5.2.

Fill the Test Cell as described in the section 4.2.

Position the Test Cell in front of the receiver (RX)
as indicated in the figure.
