SeamsStraight
To keep seams straight, use one
of
the
guidelines
on
the
needle
plate.
The
most
commonly used
line

is extended onto the
slide
plate.
The crosslines

serve as
guides
when stitching square corners.
Turnlng
Sguare Corners
To
turn a square corner, use crosslines on
slide
plate.
o
Line up fabric with
extended
guidelines
on
needle
plate
and stitch seam, slowing
speed as
you
approach corner,
o
When
bottom
edge of fabric reaches
cor-
nering crosslines

on slide
plate,
stop
stitching.
o
Be sure needle
is
down
in fabric,
o
Raise
presser
foot slightly.
Turn fabric,
bringing
bottom edge in line with
guide-
line
(1).
o
Continue stitching seam.
