MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES

3. Tighten on this side
5. Tighten the rear axle nut.
WARNING
Properly tighten wheel retaining bolt, otherwise wheel may
come off and cause track to “lock”.
6. Restart engine and rotate track slowly to recheck alignment.
7. Tighten the rear axle nut to sp ecified torque.
TIGHTENING TORQUE
Rear idler wheel retaining
screws
48 N•m ± 6 N•m
(35lbfft ± 4lbfft)
8. Reposition snowmobile on the ground.
Suspension
Rear Suspension Condition
Visually inspect all suspension com ponents including slider shoes,
springs, wheels, etc.
NOTE: During normal d riving, snow will act as a lubricant and coolant
for the slider shoes. Extensive riding on ice or sanded snow, will cre-
ate excessive heat build-up and cause premature slider shoe wear.
