5 Installation Location
5.1 Installation Location Requirements
• Sunny Beam is only suitable for indoor use.
• The ambient temperature must be between +32°F and +104°F (0 °C… +40 °C).
• The indoor location must have access to sunlight in order for the integrated solar cells of the
Sunny Beam to be able to recharge it.
• Protect the Sunny Beam from dust, wet conditions and caustic substances.
• The maximum total length of the USB connection cable is 9ft (3m).
• Certain ambient conditions can reduce the connection quality and data transmission speed
between Bluetooth devices.
– Install the Bluetooth device at a distance of at least 3ft (1m) from the following devices:
–WLAN devices
– Microwave ovens
– Other devices that use the 2.4 GHz frequency band.
5.2 Installing the Sunny Beam
As long as the requirements for the location are observed (see section 5.1), the Sunny Beam can be
installed at any indoor location. If the installation location is suitable for a good connection quality,
can be found out after during commissioning of the Sunny Beam.
