3.2 Powering Up
Press the Power button on the front of the unit to switch the scan tool on. The system boots up,
then opens the Home screen (Figure 3-2).

The main body of the Home screen has four selectable buttons, one for each of the primary scan
tool functions. These are explained briefly in the next section and discussed in detail in the
Navigation chapter.
The titlebar, which runs across the top of the screen, provides information about the current
screen or a description of the defined test vehicle. The title bar contains no selectable items. A
graphic indicator at the right edge of the toolbar shows the status of the tool power supply:
