GENERAL DESCRIPTIONS
The welding torch PUSH-PULL is designed to facilitate
welding of aluminium wires.
Torches are provided with an internal thermoplastic
sheath, which is extremely smooth and therefore spe-
cially suitable for feeding aluminium wires.
The aluminium wire diameters that can be used are:
0.8 mm, 0.9 mm, 1.0 mm and 1.2 mm - .030”, .035”, .040”
and .045.
The duty cycle is 160 A at 40%.
The maximum welding current is 200 A at 20% of duty
cycle.
Minimum and maximum speed are (1.4 - 20 mpm) – (55
- 790 IPM).
The total weight including the cable is 3.15 Kg – 6.9 lbs.
The length of the welding torch is 4.3 m – 14 feet.

ASSEMBLING THE UNIT
SETUP
Remove the metal tube
A
located inside the central adapter
of the power source.
Insert the brass tube
A1
provided onto the black liner exiting
from the PUSH-PULL welding torch.
Connect the torch to the central adapter
C1
of the power
supply; also connect the torch
C
connector to the connector
AC
located on the front panel.
PREPARING THE WIRE FEED UNIT OF THE WELDING
MACHINE (RIGTHT HAND SIDE ONLY).
Mount the wire coil
D
onto the support
E
and make sure
that the hole coincides with the pin
F
placed on the support
E
. Lock the reel on the support
E
, using the ring nut.
Use the wire feed roller
G
best suited to the type of
aluminium to be welded and the wire diameter.
The wire diameter is engraved on the side of the roller.
If the roller needs replacement:
Release the wire pressure bearing arm
H
.
Remove the protection device
L
by unscrewing the screw
I
.
Remove the wire feed roller
G
, take the suitable roller
and insert it so that the groove is oriented inwards, t the
protection device
L
back and fasten with the screw
I
.
Insert the wire into the inlet tube
K
and, passing through
the roller groove, insert it a few centimetres/inches inside the
black liner
A1
Latch the wire pressure arm
H
paying attention that the wire
remains inside the roller groove
G
.
In case thin wires (diameter 0.8 mm - .030”) or wires
having diameter 0.9 mm - .035” are used it is very
important to set the tension
M
at minimum pressure.
Close the coil compartment side and turn on the welding
machine.
Select the welding program suitable for wire to be used.
