4.3.4. Add a device
The “Device property” page allows users to ll in or modify all information required to correctly connect and send
device data
To add a device (communication gateway, measuring device…) to the conguration, the user must:
• Name: Enter a unique name for the device
• Description: Give a brief description (optional)
• Location: Indicate the location of the device in the hierarchy or its geographical location (optional)
• Type: Select the type of device in the proposed list (Socomec device or a generic mode in Modbus or SNMP for
the products of other brands)
• Communication (for devices connected in Modbus mode): the user must specify the communication mode
- Connection: select the connection mode (direct or via gateway) and the protocol (Modbus TCP or
Modbus TCP RTU)
- Modbus address of the device (between 1 and 255)
