4.4.2. Selection of variables for the device concerned
To select the variables managed by DATALOG H80/H81, the user:
1. Selects a communication gateway or measuring device from the list (1)
2. Chooses the type of variable (Measurement, Meter/Index, Status, Alarm) from the drop-down list (3)
3. Selects the variables from the list of available variables (5) to add to the list of variables selected for the device concerned (4)
4. Moves the variables by dragging/dropping list (5) to list (4)
5. Manages the properties of the variable selected from the list (4)
4.4.3. Setting the properties of the variables (for the following types: Measuring, Meter/
Index)
The properties of the variable selected from the list (2) are editable in the sidebar (4).
For each variable, the user can set:
In the “General” tab
- Name: A variable can be renamed
- Unit: The variable can be changed
- Fluid: For pulse meters, specify the uid
- Usage: A usage can be associated from a
predened list
- Deactivated: A set variable can be manually
deactivated
In the “Data acquisition” tab
- Device: Setting can only be edited in the “Device
tab
- Data: This setting cannot be modied
- Data polling: The data collection period for the
variable can be set (steps of 10" minimum)
- Load number: For devices that can be connected
to more than one load, the user must indicate the
number of the load concerned
- Default unit: A default unit can be assigned if the
unit eld has not been lled in
- Unit multiplier: A unit can be converted (e.g. W to
kW)
