4.5. Congure the data logger
Conguration of DATALOG H80/H81 with 2 parts:
• “System” conguration: general information (identication, messaging server settings, setting the remote server
• Conguration of “Publication of data”: by type of variable (Charge curve, Index, Measurement, Status, Alarm)
4.5.1. “System” tab
In the "System" tab of the conguration of DATALOG H80/H81, the user must set:
• In the “Identication of the data logger” section
- Name of the site: This setting is essential to connect DATALOG H80/H81 to a physical place in the project
architecture
- Name of the data logger: Unique identication of DATALOG H80/H81
• In the “SMTP mail server” section
- Server name: Name of the mail server to which the activity reports are sent (see below "Congure the
activity report"
- Port: Messages to the SMTP server are sent either via port 25 (standard port), or port 587 (secure port
with login / password - check that the server accepts this method)
- E-mail address of the sender: Enter the e-mail address with which DATALOG H80/H81 will send its
activity reports
- User Name: Choose a login (only if sent via port 587)
- Password: Choose a password (only if sent via port 587)
- Secure communication: Activate an encrypted session between DATALOG H80/H81 and the server
• In the “Set remote server” section
- Select server: To send les (data, conguration, log…) to a remote server, the user can select an HTTP
server or an FTP server
- Destination folder: Specify the folder on the remote server for receiving les
- Read the le: For 3G connections of DATLOG H81, state the frequency at which the conguration le on
the remote server should be read
- Transfer log le: Check whether DATALOG H80/H81 also sends the log le to the remote server
• In the “Remote HTTP server” or "Remote FTP server” section
- Address: Specify the IP address of the remote server
- Port: Specify the software port (usually: 80 for HTTP and 20 or 21 for FTP)
- User name: Enter the login to access the remote server
- Password: Enter the password to access the remote server
- Authentication (for an HTTP server only): Choose between the “Basic” mode (standard authentication
method) or the "NTLM" mode (NT LAN manager: the protocol for Microsoft systems)
- Transfer mode (for a TCP server only): Choose between active transfer mode (Active) or passive (Passive
