10. ELECTRICAL OPTIONS
10.1. INSULATION CONTROLLER
This device continually checks transformer insulation, displaying an alarm message on the mimic panel.
10.2. EXTERNAL MAINTENANCE BYPASS
This device will electrically exclude and isolate the UPS (e.g. for maintenance operations) without interrupting the power supplied to the load.
10.3. EXTERNAL MAINTENANCE BYPASS WITH BACKFEED PROTECTION
This device will electrically exclude and isolate the UPS (e.g. for maintenance operations) without interrupting the power supplied
to the load. 3-pole contactors are used for backfeed protection.
Note: an additional option is available to bring the manual bypass signal back to the UPS.
10.4. ACS PCB
Synchronises UPS output with an external power source (another UPS, even of a different brand, generator or transformer).
10.5. EXTERNAL BACKFEED
PROTECTION
External devices can be installed to protect against the back-
feed of dangerous currents, both on the MAINS SUPPLY and
on the AUX MAINS SUPPLY. These devices are controlled by
the BKF PCB installed in the position shown in figure 10.5-1.
Refer to the following paragraphs for details on electrical
connections and on activating the chosen protection.
