1. SAFETY STANDARD
The following precautions should be observed when working on batteries:
a) Remove watches, rings or other metal objects.
b) Use tools with insulated handles.
c) Wear rubber gloves and boots.
d) Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of batteries.
e) Disconnect the charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting battery terminals.
f) Determine if battery is inadvertently earthed. If inadvertently earthed, remove source from earth. Contact with any part of an
earthed battery can result in electric shock. The likelihood of shock can be reduced if earthing is removed during installation
and maintenance (applicable to equipment and remote battery supplies with no earthed supply circuit).
The product you have chosen is designed for commercial and industrial use only.
If used for particular critical applications such as life support systems, medical applications, commercial transportation, nuclear
facilities or any other application or systems where product failure is likely to cause substantial harm to people or property, the
products may have to be adapted.
For such use please contact SOCOMEC beforehand to check if these products meet the required level of safety, performance,
reliability and comply with applicable laws, regulations and specifi cations.

All precautions and warnings on labels and plates inside and outside the equipment should be observed.
