4.2. UPS Operation
4.2.1. Start procedure
CAUTION!
Make sure grounding is properly done!
CAUTION!
Check to see if the load is safely connected with the output of the UPS. If the
load is not ready to receive power from the UPS, make sure that it is safely
isolated from the UPS output terminals.
1. Set the Battery Breaker to the On position according to this user manual.
2. Turn on output breaker.
3. Turn on bypass breaker and mains breaker.
4. Wait for 10 seconds for the screen to turn on.
If the Rectifier input is within voltage range, the rectifier will start up in 30 seconds then the
inverter will start up after that.
If the rectifier fails at startup, the fault LED will light up. When the inverter starts up, the UPS
will transfer inverter mode, then the inverter LED lights up.
5. Make sure that the batteries’ parameters match the batteries you installed onsite.
6. Make sure the system is on inverter and there are no alarms to thesystem.
No matter whether the UPS can work normally or not, the status will be shown on the LCD
display.
4.2.2. Test procedure
Switch off the MAINS to simulate utility failure, the rectifier will turn off and the battery
should feed the inverter without interruption. At this time, the LEDs of battery should be
turned on.
Switch on the MAINS to simulate utility recovery, the rectifier will restart automatically
after 20 seconds and the inverter will supply to the load. The UPS can be loaded up toits
maximum capacity during load test.
