Listening to the Radio
Whenever you want to listen to the radio, press the RADIO
button.
To
quickly
find
and
play
your
favorite
radio
stations,

VOLUME
to
adjust
the
volume
and
select
the
store
them
using
the
station
preset
function
described
in
the
audio
emphasis
(see
Selecting
the
Audio
Emphasis
on
next
two
sections.

Turn off the radio POWER
Display sound type MODE once
Reduce FM noise MODE twice to display “MONO”
Though the noise will be reduced, the
radio will play in monaural.
To improve broadcast reception
Reorient the antenna (for FM) or the player itself (for AM).
TUNING/
TIME SET
1 Turnon the power and press RADIO until “RADIO”
appears in the display window.

2 Press BAND until the band you want appears.

3 Tune in a radio station either automatically or manually.
To tune automatically: Keep pressing TUNING/TIME
SET (-/+). Release it when the frequency digits begin
to change rapidly in the display. The CD cassette-
corder automatically scans the radio frequencies and
stops when it finds a clear station.
To tune manually: Press TUNING/TIME SET (-/+)
once at a time to tune in a station.
If the radio tunes to an FM stereo broadcast, the “ST”
(stereo) indication appears.
