Playing a Tape
TAPE VOLUME
1° Tumon the power and press TAPE until “TAPE”
appears in the display window.
2 Press & 4 STOP/EJECT to open the tape
compartment. Insert a recorded tape with the side you
want to play facing up. Close the compartment. (If you
have a model CFD-758 skip the next step.)
3 (CFD-768 deck B only) Choose single- or dual-side
play.

Both sides of the tape from 9 >
side A to B only*
* If play begins from side B, the tape stops at the end of that
side.
4 Press PLAY to start playing.

5 Adjust the volume and the audio emphasis (see
Selecting the Audio Emphasis on page 12).

Pause ti PAUSE
Resume play after pause tt PAUSE
Fast forward* PP FF
Rewind* << REW
Remove the cassette @ 4 STOP/EJECT
Tum off the power POWER
* For the side facing up.
(CFD-768 deck B only) To switch play to the
opposite side
Press <I> DIR. The & FWD or REV < indicator lights to
show transport direction for the tape in deck B.
(CFD-768 deck B only) To find a point in a selection
In play mode, press <4<4 or BB (CUE/REVIEW). Listen for
the point you want to hear.
