Put the battery pack in a pocket clo_ to your
body to warm it up. and insert it in the camera
immediately beRlre you start shooting.
The battely pack will runout quickly if you use
tile flash or zoom fiequently.
We recommend hilving spare battery packs
bandy lot two or three times lbe expected
shooting time, and making trial shots befi)re
taking tile actual sllots.
Do not expose the battery pack to water. The
ballery pack is not water-resistant.
Do not leglve the baltel_ _pack in extremely hot
places, such as in a cal or under direct sunlight.
Howto storethebattery pack
Fully discharge tile battery p_Lckbelore storing
and store it in it cool, dly place. To mnintain tile
battery pack's fimction, tully chm'ge tile b_ttcry
pack mid then lully discharge it on the canler_ _t
least once a year while storing.
To use the battery pack up, leave the camera in
slide show (page 53) playback mode until the
power goes oil.
To prevent staining the terminal, short-
circuiting, etc.. be sure to use a supplied battery
case when canting and storing.
On battery life
Tile btattcly lilt is limited. Battery capacity
decreases over time and through repeated use. I1
decreased usage lillle between charges becollles
significant, it is probably lime to replace il wilb
a new one.
Tile battc W lilt varies according to how il is
stored and the operating conditions and
environment ill which each battely pack is used.
