Why is there no picture or picture noise on my Sony D350P?

There could be several reasons for this issue. Ensure the connecting cords are securely re-connected and not damaged. Check the connection to your TV and switch the input selector so that the signal from the player appears on the screen. If you're using a combination TV/VIDEO player, the copy-protection signal applied to some DVD programs could affect picture quality. Try connecting your player directly to your TV’s S-VIDEO input. Also, check if you have set the player to progressive format even though your TV cannot accept the progressive signal, or COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jack is not used or Progressive of the SCREEN SETUP menu is not set correctly while the PROGRESSIVE indicator lights up in orange. The disc may also be dirty or flawed.
