Use hookup 1D If your TV is equipped with a EURO 21-pin connector.
With this connection the VCR cannot record TV programmes. It can only play back a pre-recorded

When using hookup 1D, you should set the VIDEO OUT selector, located just below the EURO 21-pin
connector, to “S” if your TV has an S EURO-AV connector and you want to obtain a much better quality
playback picture (same as in hookup 1C).
if your TV does not have an S EURO-AV connector, set the VIDEO OUT selector to “NORMAL.”
Note
If your TV does not have an S VIDEO function and if you set the VIDEO OUT selector to “S,” the playback
picture will be monochrome.
Use hookup 1E if your TV is equipped with a EURO 21-pin connector and you want to record TV
rogrammes.
This hookup allows you to record broadcast programmes received by your TV if the aerial Input is
directly connected to your TV.
