Connecting 5.1.2-channel speaker system using top middle speakers
Connect each speaker to the SPEAKERS terminals on the rear of the unit.
Before connecting cables, be sure to disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead).
For details on how to connect speaker cables to the unit, see “How to connect speaker cables.”

After connecting the top middle speakers, set [Speaker Pattern] in [Manual Speaker Settings] under [Speaker Settings] to [5.1.2 (TM)].
Note
Connect speakers with a nominal impedance of 6 ohms to 16 ohms.
